Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Cofferly's educational services and website. Please read them carefully before enrolling or registering.

General Education Only. All content, materials, and programmes offered by Cofferly are for general education and informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, psychological, or professional advice of any kind.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

  • "Agreement" means these Terms and Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which together form the entire agreement between you and Cofferly.
  • "Service" or "Services" means the educational workshops, toolkits, community access, and programmes offered by Cofferly, as described on our website and materials.
  • "User" or "You" means any individual who visits our website, registers for a Service, or participates in any Cofferly educational offering.
  • "We", "Us", or "Our" means Cofferly, operating from No. 9, Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka, Malaysia.
  • "Content" means all educational materials, worksheets, digital resources, written text, graphics, and any other materials made available through our Services.
  • "Website" means the website accessible at cofferly.sbs and any associated pages or subdomains.
  • "Participant" means a User who has enrolled in and is actively attending or engaging with a Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our Website, registering for a Service, or attending any Cofferly programme or workshop, you confirm that:

  • You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • You are at least 18 years of age, or have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Malaysian law.
  • If registering on behalf of an organisation, you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not register for or use our Services.

3. Service Description

Cofferly offers general-education programmes and resources focused on the everyday psychology of money habits and behaviour. Our current Services include:

Behaviour & Money Workshop

An accessible, in-person or online workshop exploring the everyday habits behind spending and saving using practical experiments and reflection exercises. This is general education, not professional advice. RM 490

Habits Toolkit & Community

A collection of habit worksheets, trackers, and access to a reflective community for sharing general experiences and gentle habit experiments. RM 1,440

Behaviour Literacy Programme

A multi-week general-education programme on everyday money habits and behaviour change, including group reflection sessions, printed and digital materials, and a certificate of attendance upon completion. RM 4,000

Service availability is subject to scheduling, minimum participant numbers, and geographic accessibility. Cofferly reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel a Service with reasonable prior notice to registered Participants.

4. Enrolment & Accounts

Where registration or an account is required to access a Service:

  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current registration information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • You are responsible for all activities conducted through your account.
  • Accounts are personal and may not be shared with or transferred to another person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe to be in breach of these Terms.

5. User Responsibilities

As a User of our Services, you agree to:

  • Engage respectfully with facilitators, staff, and other Participants at all times.
  • Use educational materials solely for your personal learning and non-commercial purposes.
  • Not reproduce, distribute, or publicly share workshop materials without written permission from Cofferly.
  • Not disrupt, interfere with, or negatively impact other Participants' experience.
  • Not record audio or video of sessions without prior written consent from Cofferly and relevant Participants.
  • Attend or access Sessions in good faith, contributing constructively to group discussions where applicable.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Misrepresenting your identity or professional credentials during enrolment or participation.
  • Using our community spaces to solicit, market, or promote third-party products or services.
  • Posting content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempting to circumvent access controls or gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems.

6. Intellectual Property

All Content created and provided by Cofferly — including but not limited to workshop slides, worksheets, frameworks, community materials, and Website content — is the intellectual property of Cofferly and is protected under Malaysian copyright law and applicable international conventions.

Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. This licence does not permit you to:

  • Reproduce, copy, or distribute Content for commercial purposes.
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on our Content without written permission.
  • Sub-license or resell access to any Cofferly Content or materials.

Content you voluntarily share in community spaces (e.g., reflections, insights) remains your own. By sharing, you grant Cofferly a non-exclusive licence to feature or reference such contributions (anonymised where appropriate) for educational or promotional purposes, unless you object in writing.

7. Payment Terms

All prices are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment is required at the time of enrolment or as specified on the registration form.
  • We accept bank transfer, online payment, and other methods as detailed on our registration page.
  • Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.

Refund Policy:

  • Cancellations made 14 or more days before a programme start date are eligible for a full refund, minus any processing fees.
  • Cancellations made 7–13 days before a programme start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the start date are generally non-refundable, unless the cancellation is due to a verifiable emergency at Cofferly's discretion.
  • If Cofferly cancels or reschedules a Service, registered Participants will be offered a full refund or transfer to an alternative date.
  • Toolkit and digital resource purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted.

8. Programme-Specific Terms

Behaviour Literacy Programme — Certificate of Attendance:

  • A certificate of attendance is issued upon completion of the required programme sessions, as defined in the programme schedule.
  • The certificate is a record of participation in an educational programme. It is not a professional qualification, accreditation, or regulatory certification.
  • Attendance at a minimum of 80% of scheduled sessions is typically required for certificate issuance, unless otherwise communicated.

Academic Integrity:

  • Participants are expected to engage with reflection exercises and worksheets in good faith.
  • Submitting or presenting another person's work as your own is not permitted and may result in removal from the programme without refund.

Behaviour & Money Workshop:

  • Workshops are held in scheduled sessions. Late arrivals may be admitted at the facilitator's discretion, subject to programme flow.
  • Participants are encouraged but not required to share personal experiences during group activities.

9. Disclaimers

Cofferly's Services are provided on an "as available" basis for general educational purposes. We make no representation or warranty that:

  • Participation in our programmes will result in any specific personal, financial, or behavioural outcome.
  • The Content is comprehensive, complete, or suited to any particular individual's circumstances.
  • The Website or digital resources will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical issues.

Not Professional Advice: Nothing provided by Cofferly constitutes financial advice, investment guidance, psychological therapy, legal advice, or any regulated professional service. Participants seeking professional advice are encouraged to consult a qualified professional appropriate to their needs.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Cofferly's total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.

Cofferly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of income, loss of opportunity, or loss of data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural events, governmental actions, or telecommunication failures.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cofferly, its staff, facilitators, and representatives from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
  • Any content you submit, post, or transmit through our Services.
  • Your conduct during any Cofferly programme or community space.

12. Termination

By Cofferly: We may suspend or terminate your access to our Services at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in conduct harmful to other Participants or staff, or violated applicable law. Where feasible, we will provide prior notice, unless immediate action is necessary to protect others.

By You: You may withdraw from a Service at any time. Refunds will be applied in accordance with Section 7 (Payment Terms) above.

Survival: Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution shall survive the termination of this Agreement.

13. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, including the Contracts Act 1950 and the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where applicable.

Jurisdiction: Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. For Participants based in Melaka, the courts of Melaka shall have primary jurisdiction where applicable.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected] so that we may attempt to resolve the matter informally and in good faith within 30 days.

Mediation: If informal resolution is unsuccessful, either party may propose mediation through a mutually agreed mediator or through the Mediation Centre established under the Mediation Act 2012 (Malaysia) prior to commencing litigation.

14. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cofferly in relation to the subject matter herein.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision in future.
  • Assignment: You may not assign or transfer any rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor entity without notice.
  • Notice: Notices to Cofferly under these Terms should be sent to [email protected] or to our registered address at No. 9, Jalan Hang Jebat, 75200 Melaka, Malaysia.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, applicable law, or our internal practices. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Where reasonable, notify registered Participants by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of our Services or Website after any changes have taken effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should discontinue using our Services and contact us to discuss your options.
